I received my GRE scores in the mail today, and my verbal and quantitative sections exceed the minimum required by my #1 school - not by much (~100 points between the two combined). However, I ended up with a 4.0 on the analytical writing, and my school of choice lists a 4.5 requirement.

I'm applying to interdisciplinary PhD programs in the humanities, none of which give a minimum GRE scores, although I doubt the Q section is given very much weight. I took the test a few days ago and got a 650V and 620Q. Ugh, just took my first actual GRE and I absolutely choked on on the quantitative. I had a mini panic attack when I got to a term I didn't recognize, and then couldn't finish the section. Well I did it!  Wrote my test yesterday, and, well, I'm a little confused.

I took the GRE the other day and managed a 1280 - 710Q & 570V. Is it worth it to retake the exam? The quant score is beyond anything I've ever gotten on a practice test, and I worry that if I try again to increase by verbal it will suffer for it.
